The first lap was walked by over 100 cancer survivors, to celebrate cancer survivorship and to inspire all of us that cancer can be successfully fought. 

The Luminaria ceremony at 8pm (until 8.30pm) was beautiful - Luminaria bags, complete with a candle and decoration, lined the track - over 700 of them. The special ceremony brought us together, as we quietly remember our loved ones.

Relay is all about 'Celebrate, Remember, Fight Back' and we had input from a survivor (Celebrating survivorship), the story of our luminaria ceremony (Remember) and a lively input from one of our teams (Fight Back!).

Plus we thanked all our sponsors, and had special mock cheque presentations from our
  
    Super Gold (IJM Land),

    Gold (Wawasan Open University) and

    Silver sponsors (OSK Investment Bank; Paris Lozes; HCL-Axon and Naza Group of Companies).

There was also a special mention for Lipidchem for their sponsorship of the beautiful candles for the Luminaria ceremony.
